Abstract:
The increase in life expectancy is a challenge in disease burden, especially, in chronic diseases like cancer.
Several studies have stated the protection of some elements of Mediterranean diet (MD) to human health.
The consequences of this protection on the chronic use of this kind of food are expressed as high standard of living quality.
The present study develops different genetics, cytological and lifespan approaches to assess the protective role of components of the MD such as rocket, tomato, grapes and walnut oil.
