Abstract:
The developed chemical weed control system makes possible for growers to cultivate poppy under field condition saving manual work, applying new biological, chemical and mechanized cultivation methods.
Following the preemergent treatment of Mesotox and the postemergence treatment of Reglone second postemergent treatment can be applied taking into consideration the weed spectrum.
Dicuran + Plakin results a good effect if the weed spectrum consist of mainly Cruciferae or Compositae weeds, whereas Dicuran + Dual was highly efficient against Chenopodium album and monocotyledonous weeds.
No harmful residuals of the herbicides were left on poppy-seeds and capsules.
