Abstract:
The greenhouse industry in the province of Quebec is currently valued at $150 million with the contribution from greenhouse vegetables approximating $50 million.
Greenhouse vegetables grown in Quebec include tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, pepper and herbs.
In this paper the various kinds of greenhouse operations found in Quebec, production techniques employed, cultivars used, production schedules followed, biological control methods used, and future prospects for the greenhouse vegetable industry are discussed.
