Abstract:
Efficient methods for regeneration and genetic transformation of Actinidia kolomicta has been developed.
Th highest regeneration frequency was observed on MS media with 3.0–5.0 mg/l zeatin, 0. mg/l IBA. Leaf actinidia explants were transformed by the following A. tumefaciens strains: GV3101: pBI121, A281: pPCV730, GV3101: pPCV002-CaMVC and GV3850neo.
A number of plants resistant to high concentration of kanamycin and hygromycin, and good expression of GUS gene were obtained.
The integration of NPT II gene to the plant genome was confirmed by PCR analysis.
