Abstract:
The effects of foliar applications of "Wuxal Kombi" and "Wuxal Calcium" fertilizers on the quality of strawberry fruits (cv.
Senga Sengana) were investigated.
These fertilizers were used before or after flowering.
Spraying the plants with "Wuxal Kombi" and "Wuxal Calcium" fertilizers in the field had no effect on the total yield and average fruit weight.
Foliar application of these fertilizers increased fruit firmness, but below statistical significance.
Treating the plants with "Wuxal Calcium" had a considerable influence on fruit colour and glossiness.
Foliar application of both fertilizers did not damage the plants and increased the intensity of leaf colour.
The use of "Wuxal Kombi" and a combination of "Wuxal Calcium" + "Wuxal Kombi" fertilizers slightly decreased the number of fruits infected by grey mould (Botrytis cinerea Pers.).
