Abstract:
Bulb production was studied in Eleutherine bulbosa to determine of bulb weight and plant spacing.
The experiment was done in Department of Horticulture in randomized blocks with 4 replications and 3 levels of bulb weight and 2 plant spacings.
The results indicated larger individual increases in biomass of bulbs when utilizated heavier bulbs and greater plant spacing (with variations of 3.5% to 23.04%). The yield of bulbs (kg/ha), inferred by the results, indicated a higher harvest index when utilizing heavier bulbs with smaller plant spacings.
