Abstract:
The mineral composition of albino fruit is different from normal fruits.
Ratios of N to Ca and K to Ca were greater in albino than in normal fruit.
Nevertheless, when nutrient solutions with higher K/Ca ratios were applied, the percentage of albino fruits was not affected very much.
The presence of ammonium nitrate and silicon in the nutrient solution also influenced the K/Ca ratio in the fruits and the occurence of albinism.
