Authors:   S. Ketsa, K. Leelawatana
DOI:   10.17660/ActaHortic.1992.321.19
Abstract:
Fruit and juice characteristics of seven pummelo cultivars, namely 'Khao Hom', 'Khao Nam Pleung', 'Khao Paen' 'Khao Phaung', 'Khao Taeng-kwa', 'Takoy' and 'Tongdee' grown under Thai conditions were comparatively studied. Fruit weight, fruit size, specific gravity, number of seeds per fruit, carpels and oil glands, peel thickness, color of albedo and juice sacs and firmness of juice sacs were determined. Total soluble solids, titratable acidity, total sugars and ascorbic acid were quantified. Consumer acceptance was also evaluated. All seven pummelo cultivars were significantly different in almost all parameters studied.
