Abstract:
A computer vision system was used to analyze elongation rate of plant leaf as a noncontact method, and a suitable algorithm was developed.
Video images of a target plant leaf were acquired from two orthogonality directions simultaneously using a mirror system, three dimensional information of the center line in the plant leaf was extracted from the acquired images, and leaf elongation rate was calculated.
Testing was conducted on the third leaf of rice plant(Oryza Sativa L.) "yamahikari" for a few days during day and night in a growth chamber under the several temperature conditions.
Analysis on the developed system for non-contact measure of plant leaf elongation rate was evaluated.
