ISHS Acta Horticulturae 246: International Symposium on Protected Cultivation of Ornamentals in Mild Winter Climates

EFFECTS OF PROPAGATION MEDIA AND CARRIERS ON THE ROOTING OF CAMELLIA RETICULATA LINDLEY VARIETY CAPTAIN RAWES

Authors:   I. Iglesias, J.L.G. Mantilla, T. González
DOI:   10.17660/ActaHortic.1989.246.20
Abstract:
The rooting capacity of cuttings from the Camellia reticulata var. Captain Rawes was studied. They were subjected to split base wounding and treatments with auxins and/or hormone carriers, employing two different rooting mediums (perlite and rock wool). The combined treatment of IBA and NAA using rock wool gave the best results (90% rooting).
