Abstract:
Pelargonium domesticum is an important pot plant in Germany.
Following earlier work with the aim to eliminate pathogenes by tissue culture methods, this study tried successfully to develop a technique for micropropagation for commercial application.
Altogether 25 cultivars have been taken into culture.
They were propagated by explanting shoottips or nodes taken from aseptically cultured donor plants on different media for initiation and multiplication, rooting and culture of donor plants.
Establishment in soil has been achieved.
