Abstract:
35 cultivars of imported gladiolus bulbs (Gladiolus spp.), obtained from normal sales outlets, were found to be infected with: Bean yellow mosaic virus (BYMV) (90%), Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) (35%), Arabis mosaic virus (ArMV) (5%), a possible virus NEPO (1%) and an unidentified agent (UnV) (1%). The association between the plant symptoms (leaves and flowers) and the virus presence was studied in this survey.
