Control of broad mites proves to be a serious challenge for growers.
Good control throughout the crop cycle requires optimization and integration of chemical and non-chemical strategies.
In this paper we describe results of trials testing the efficacy and applicability of 3 complementary control strategies: chemical, biological and physical.
Field trials on two sensitive woody ornamental plants: Hedera and Azalea (Rhododendron simsii cultivars) show the value of these strategies.
We test the strength of these independent strategies and suggest how these could be alternated to control broad mites throughout the production cycle.
