Abstract:
Since the middle of the sixties until the middle of the seventies the flower market in Germany has been characterized by considerable rates of growth, on the whole more than 10 percent per year.
During this time the economic consumption per capita increased from 33.- to 80.- DM per year.
However, during the last years a decrease was noticed, especially in the market for cut flowers.
Contrary to that, the consumption of pot plants continued to increase very fast.
