Abstract:
According to some theoretical calculations the quadratic law of thin-layer chromatographic development isn't valid in overpressured thin-layer chromatography.
The migration of the solvent front in this new planar liquid chromatographic technique is described by a simple equation.
The stable and high speed flow velocity of mobile phase in overpressured thin-layer chromatography gives a good opportunity for the quick and efficient separation of various plant substance groups.
These advantages were demonstrated by separation of Digitalis glycosides
