Abstract:
In 1978 a coordinated herbicide check with Digitalis lanata was carried out in 4 countries to compare the experiences in this field and to solve the problem of chemical weed control more quickly by the use of the advantages of the international cooperation.
The best results on all soils were achieved by application of 0.32 kg/ha Asulam immediately before emergence and after formation of 4 leaves of D. 1. The application of 0.6 kg/ha Paraquate immediately before emergence and 2 kg/ha Ethofumesate after formation of 6 leaves of Digitalis lanata caused no yield reduction on most localities.
Good results were achieved by application of 1.86 kg/ha Amitrol, of the mixture of 0.6 kg/ha Paraquate + 0.95 – 1.52 kg/ha IPC + 0.6 – 0.96 kg/ha CIPC + 0.95 – 1.52 kg/ha Proximpham and of the mixture of 1.79 kg/ha Chloroxuron + 0.8 kg/ha Asulam some days after sowing on medium and heavy soils.
The application of 1.0 kg/ha Ethamine before sowing and after the beginning of seed germination and of the mixture of 1.79 kg/ha Chloroxuron + 0.5 kg/ha Prometryne some days after sowing caused heavy yield reduction on all the localities.
