COLD-TREATMENT EFFECT ON THE FLOWER AND VOLATILE OIL BUILDING OF CAMOMILE /MATRICARIA CHAMOMILLA L./

Authors:   J. Sváb, G. Marczal, G. Verzár-Petri, E. Rajki
Abstract:
The aim of this experiment was to investigate the effect of the early spring frost on camomile flower building, yield and active compounds. The treatment was done in phytotron.

The results showed, that cold treatment didn't reduce the flower production of camomile. The effect of freezing resulted a shorter blooming period.

In oil content, chamazulen and -/-/-alpha-bisabolol amount there was no significant difference between treated and untreated plants, whereas frost-treatment increased bisabololoxide A significantly.
