A new paradigm has emerged, one that is providing a new vision of horticulture, that of understanding horticulture from a psychological and social perspective.
Horticultural and non-horticultural students are thirsty for more information on this topic.
In response, an upper level undergraduate course has been developed and offered at NSAC, a first.
It is also hoped the development of an academic course will provide impetus for additional research in this field.
The genesis, development, presentation and a commentary on the student experience is presented.
