Abstract:
Indicators, temperatures and times of observation for detecting most North American deciduous fruit tree viruses are given.
By using this information, indexing may be done in the glasshouse where it is more accurate, efficient and rapid than in the field.
An inexpensive method for indexing with woody plants is described that can replace both field and glasshouse indexing for most host-virus combinations.
