Abstract:
In this study, the storage in cold under normal atmospheric conditions for 6 months and 15 days shelf life of packed with streched film (Thickness 12 μ) and MAP (thickness 8 μ) ‘Hicaznar’ pomegranate variety grown in Adana conditions has been investigated. Experimental results showed that ‘Hicaznar’ pomegranate covered by streched film and MAP produced better storage conditions compared to uncovered fruits. In terms of fungal disorders and visual quality, the storage time without losing fruit quality was 2 months in the second year with MAP application. On the other hand the storage time was determined as 3 months in the second year with streched film application.
