Abstract:
Stability in volatile synthesis is important for the selection of cultivars. In this work, environmentally caused variation was investigated over two years in a model population of Fragaria ananassa. The stability of the synthesis of key volatiles varies throughout the F1 seedling population between the two years. The aroma potential of the investigated Fragaria ananassa population was also compared to F1 clones of a cross-combination between Fragaria vesca and Fragaria mandshurica.
