Abstract:
The research carried out permitted to establish the optimal conditions for a high acclimatization rate.
The rooting plants were maintained in a greenhouse under conditions of a natural photoperiod (approximately 16 light hours and 8 dark hours) and T = + 25°C. The length of the acclimatization phase was 4 weeks.
Two factors were studied: the substrate type and the nutritional factor.
The influence of both factors reflected on the survival rate and on the leaf and stem characteristics - during acclimatization, as well as on roots aspect at the end of the acclimatization phase.
The best results were obtained when we used perlite substrate, supplied with KNOP nutritive solution applied once per week, in comparison with perlite and peat of 1:1; 1:2 or 2:1 ratio.
