Abstract:
The local plum varieties ‘Drebna biala rakiynitsa’, ‘Clastachka’, ‘Biala razgradska’, ‘B.Marinkini’, ‘Sakarka’, ‘Sinia rakiynitsa’ and ‘Kyustendilska late blossoming’ were studied in the period 2003-2006. The varieties ‘Drebna biala rakiynitsa’, ‘Sinia rakiynitsa’ and ‘Biala Razgradska’ were very fruitful. The fruits of variety ‘Biala razgradska’ were the biggest in comparison with the fruits of the other six investigated varieties. Higher content of dry matter was established in the fruits of ‘Kyustendilska late blossoming’ – 19.80%, ‘Sinia rakiynitsa’ – 18.67% and ‘Drebna biala rakiynitsa’ – 18.12%. The sugar content of the fruits ranged from 8.72 to 12.25%. The largest content of organic acids – 2.04% – was established in the fruits of variety ‘B.Marinkini’. The fruits of ‘Sinia rakiynitsa’ had the highest quantity of tannins – 0.367%.
