Abstract:
The aim of this study was to determine an effective propagation protocol for Prunus domestica ‘Centenar’. Shoot tip was cultivated in vitro on a Murashige-Skoog (MS) medium containing 1.0 mg/L BA, 0.2 mg/L NAA, 30 g/L sucrose and 6 g/L agar, pH 5.6. Explants were subcultured at three-week intervals on the same medium.
A concentration of 1.0 mg/L IBA in half strength of MS provided the best rooting.
After acclimatization, the regenerated plantlets were transferred to soil under natural conditions.
