Abstract:
The present investigation was conducted in an attempt to evaluate different rapid methods in diagnosis of disease.
Serological assays such as Dot-immunobinding assay (DIA), immunofluorescens (IF) and double diffusion (DD) as well as biolog system were performed.
Ten isolates were recovered from spotted tomato leaves collected from greenhouses of two governorates.
Pathogenicity test showed that 10 isolates were virulent with different degree.
The biolog system showed the ability of selected isolated No. 9Q to utilize different carbon source.
The results also revealed that DIA, IFA and DD have a great potential for simple and rapid identification and detection for Xanthomonas campestris pv. vesicatoria in infected tomato plants.
