Abstract:
A regeneration protocol was developed for ten pear (Pyrus communis L.) cultivars: 'Cure', 'Argessis', 'Euras', 'Carpica', 'Republica', 'Daciana', 'Getica', 'Republica', 'Ervina' and 'Conference'. The highest multiplication rate was obtained on Lepoivre medium, supplemented with 0.1 mg/L BAP, for the explants inoculated in November 2005. For the explants inoculated in February 2006, the highest multiplication rate was obtained on Murashige and Skoog medium supplemented with 0.1 mg/L BAP. High rooting was achieved with 2.5 mg/L IBA and 2.5 mg/L NAA. Decreasing mineral concentration (50%) resulted in increased rooting.
At the beginning of the rooting stage, the explants benefited from a light exclusion treatment (8 days).
