Abstract:
The aim of this study was to evaluate the separate and combined effects of root pruning and Prohexadione-Ca strategies.
All three strategies reduced shoot length in comparison with control trees.
Root pruning increased return bloom in one experiment, while Prohexadione-Ca reduced it in another experiment.
The combination of root pruning with Prohexadione-Ca produced the least shoot length, increased return bloom in comparison with Prohexadione-Ca and produced similar yields as the control.
