IMPROVING COLOUR IN RED APPLES WITH ALAR 85 (SADH) AND PRM-FRUIT (ETHEPHON + 2,4, 5-TP) |

| Abstract:
Three apple cultivars (Richared, Starking Delicious and Red Delicious) were sprayed with ALAR 85 and PRM 12 + 2,4, 5TP at various concentrations. ALAR 85 at 150 g/Hl 70 days before harvest followed by PRM 12 + Fruitone TP at 200 + 20 cc/Hl 15 days before harvest gave the best result. Red colouration was significantly improved and the fruit showed normal ripening and storage properties up to 90 days in regular cold storage or up to 180 days in CA storage. | |
