Abstract:
Experiments with table grape cv.
Cardinal showed that free and bound gibberellins in the inflorescences increase during development and reach a maximum at the time of most rapid berry growth.
The GA content of the rachises was three times that of growing berries, but in the mature clusters this difference disappeared.
In the ripe grapes some bound GA was detected in the pulp and skin, but most occurred in the seeds.
When flower and fruit formation was intensified by CCC treatment more total, free and bound gibberellins were found.
