Abstract:
Local application of phytohormones to detached Pelargonium leaves induced a directional flux of radioactive S, P, Rb, glucose and methyl-glucose toward the site of application.
The effect was strongest with GA3 and then, in decreasing order, with BAP, 2,4-D. IAA and NAA. Ca and Cl showed no directional movement.
IAA14C was shown to migrate towards the area of GA3 deposit.
