Abstract:
The persistence of Alar residues in stone fruit is recorded, and results are presented of experiments with alternative growth regulators.
An account is given of a method of regulating growth by tree shaping induced by specialised pruning, and it is suggested that growth retardation could best be achieved by a combination of appropriate chemical and mechanical means.
