| Abstract:
The use of ranks with Latin nomenclature is not recommended below species/subspecies for cultivated Pisum. Six groups have been used at a high level to indicate the main cultivated types, replacing the existing botanical variety in the current GRIN taxonomy. The addition of one new rank, subgroup, below group is proposed. The use of a representative cultivar epithet in the subgroup epithet is recommended. | |
