Abstract:
In the multiplication phase for ‘Lapins’ sweet cherry, ‘Tabel Edabriz’ cherry rootstock and ‘Pyrodwarf’ pear rootstock, D-fructose, D-glucose, D-sorbitol and mannitol were used as carbon sources (at 58.5 and 115 mM), as was sucrose at 30 mM. In the rooting phase, shoots were grown on media with sorbitol, fructose and sucrose (58.5 and 115 mM). For all three genoptypes, sorbitol, fructose and glucose were much more efficient sources of carbon compared to sucrose in the multiplication phase.
The best plant quality in terms of rooted plants was obtained on a medium containing sucrose and fructose.
