| Abstract:
An olive grower was invited to organize a full day harvesting test based on two rolling canvas prototypes, using his own trunk shaker, tractors and labor. This paper reports the results observed, and a comparison with the farmer's usual harvesting method followed of trunk shaking with a canvas under the trees. Results show that the rolling canvas based system has a slightly higher work rate, and requires less physical effort. | |
