EFFECTIVENESS OF FUNGICIDES AND BIOFUNGICIDES IN THE CONTROL OF GREY MOULD OF RASPBERRY IN SERBIA

Authors:   B. Tanovic, E. Rekanovic, I. Potocnik , B. Todorovic
Keywords:   grey mould, Botrytis cinerea, raspberry, control
Abstract:
During 2005 growing season, field experiments were conducted in two commercial raspberry fields to compare effectiveness of some fungicides and biofungicides in Botrytis cinerea control. The experiments consisted of four fungicide and two biofungicide treatments and untreated control, in randomized block design with four replicates per treatment. The fungicides: fenhxamid, vinclozolin, benomyl, and pyrimethanil were applied twice. The biofungicides Polyversum (active ingredient are oospores of Pythium oligandrum) and F-stop (active ingredient is bacterium Bacillus subtilis) were applied four times - until the beginning of harvest. The effect of the tested products was assessed 20 days after the last fungicide treatment according to the intensity of fruit infection. At both localities, the highest efficacy was achieved by fenhexamid (87% and 89.6%) and pyrimethanil (68.8% and 87.4%), while the efficacy of biofungicides was less than satisfactory (12.6%–46.6%).
