Abstract:
When the photosynthetic rate was compared among Actinidia species, those of A. chinensis and A. deliciosa were 5 μmol CO2∙m-2∙s-1 higher than others at the level of PAR of 500. Regardless of species, the photosynthetic rates on adult leaves were higher than those on young leaves.
At 70-72% leaf expansion of A. chinensis and A. deliciosa and at 96-98% leaf expansion of A. arguta and A. eriantha, all the species showed 80% maximum photosynthetic rate, which means that the leaves of A. arguta and A. eriantha have lower CO2 fixation capacity.
