EFFECT OF TRIAZOLE GROWTH REGULATOR ON THE GROWTH OF PLUG SEEDLING AND YIELD OF TOMATO

Authors:   H.K. Yun, T.C. Seo, J.W. Lee, E.Y. Yang
Keywords:   diniconazole, hexaconazole, tomato seedlings, fruit set and yield
Abstract:
Compared with conventional cultivation practices, triazole growth regulators treatment inhibited the seedling height and leaf area in the plug seedlings of tomato. Growth suppressing effects were more pronounced with the early- and high concentration treatments. After 4 weeks of initial treatment, hexaconazole treated plant restored their growth ability. Diniconazole- and hexaconazole-treated plants had the first fruiting clusters at lower positions compared with the control. However, these triazoles did not affect the number of fruits at harvest.
