| Abstract:
The paper sketches the structure of horticulture in Guernsey and sets out a project to help individual growers run their businesses more effeciently. The project links cultural and business advice by providing the cultural adviser with a financial plan for a grower at the start of the season. The plan is monitored by advisory service clerical staff as the season progresses. The scheme is running well in its first year, each of the growers concerned in the Scheme improving his profitability. | |
