Keywords:   chitosan, calcium chloride, kumquat, senescence of fruit, membrane lipid peroxidation
Abstract:
This paper introduced the effect of Chitosan and CaCl2 complex fresh- keeping agents on senscence and activated oxygen metabolism of postharvest kumquat fruits after harvest at normal atmospheric temperatures. The results showed that the activities of superoxide dismutase were decreased and the accumulation of MDA was restrained. The ripening and senescence of fresh kumquat could be significantly delayed by using chitosan and CaCl2 complex.
