Abstract:
A new Asian hybrid lily cultivar, 'Sunshine', was developed by crossing between 'Lolly Pop' and 'Shocking Pink' in 1998 and preliminarily selected in 2000. After field tests for cultural characteristics under forcing and common cultural conditions between 2003 and 2004, it was finally selected in 2004. The funnel shaped flower produced thick tepals with a stable and spotless bright yellow-orange color.
The stem color is light-brown and leaves are wide and small.
Flowering time is early June and the inflorescence type is raceme.
This cultivar has an advantage in bulblet production, is well adapted for forcing.
