| Abstract:
We investigated the parent-offspring relationship of the apple cultivars 'Shinano Piccoro' and 'Komitsu' by S-RNase analysis and SSR markers. 'Akane', rather than the previously mentioned 'Red Astrachan', was identified as the genuine paternal parent of 'Shinano Piccoro'. It was speculated that 'Komitsu' was produced by 'Jonathan' × 'Starking Delicious'. | |
