Abstract:
This work was carried out to develop radish chromosome-specific markers from a set of rape-radish addition lines, to map them in an established intraspecific mapping population, and to assign each linkage group to an individual chromosome of Raphanus sativus. For 899 radish-specific markers chromosomal specificity was determined.
Of these markers, 116 were polymorphic between the parents of the intraspecific radish F2 mapping population.
A subset of 29 chromosome-specific markers was used to produce segregation data in 245 F2 plants.
Eighteen markers were integrated as anchor loci into the nine linkage groups of Raphanus sativus so that their corresponding chromosomes could be identified.
