Abstract:
Asparagus is an important export vegetable in Mainland China, which is a kind of upscale vegetable with rich nutrients and beneficial to health. Up to now field cultivated areas of asparagus were more than 80,000 ha in Mainland China. Most of them were white asparagus. Only 20 ha asparagus were cultivated in the greenhouse, which could not satisfy the market’s need in winter. We try to cultivate green asparagus with organic soil substrate in the solar glasshouse in winter. The results show that the quality of the asparagus product is obviously improved. The total sugar of asparagus increased 9.8%, crude protein increased 10.2% and the VC content increased 3.6% compared to the soil control. This paper may give an introduction to the green asparagus close planting culture in solar greenhouse in the winter season.
