Abstract:
We analyzed vitamin C, beta-carotene and nitrate content in thirty different carrot (Dacus carota var. sativa DC) genotypes sown in the spring and autumn.
The genotypes were divided into three classes, high-quality, medium-quality and low- quality, by the cluster analysis method of the NOSA (National Occupational Safety Association) software.
In the high-quality class, two genotypes, ‘Shenhesusheng’ and Japanese ‘Sanhongqicun,’ were selected to be recommended for fall planting.
The Japanese ‘Heitianwucun,’ was recommended for spring planting.
