Abstract:
The results of climate and heat consumption measurements in different single and double glazed greenhouses are described and compared.
By double glazing the transpiration of crops is lower and the relative humidity of the air and the leaf temperatures are higher at the same time.
The energy consumption was diminished 32 to 38% in comparison to single glazed glasshouses.
These results were lower than theoretically possible.
Additional care is to be taken to the CO2-concentration because a double sheltered glasshouse might be more tight.
