| Abstract:
The recent status of rose breeding and cultivation research and cut flower production in China is reported in this article. Currently, all new rose cultivars in China are bred through conventional breeding. Biotechnology has been applied to rose breeding recently. Rose cultivation research includes physiology, growing techniques and postharvest evaluation. It is evident that cit rose production and sales are growing rapidly in China. Yunnan, Guangdong and Chongqing are the major producing provinces in recent years. | |
