PROBLEM OF ASPHYXIA OF PLUM ROOT SYSTEM ON PSEUDOGLEY

Author:   P. Lucic
Abstract:
The asphyxia of the root system significantly diminishes the rate of the vegetation growth, yield, size of the fruit and the capacity of up-take of some elements from the soil.

The leaves of the plants with distinctive symptoms of the root have the significantly less quantities of N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe and Mn, excent for Zn, the content of which is higher in relation to the plants being controlled. The similar relation has been registered in the root as well. The roots of the trees with distinctive symptoms of asphyxia have the smaller quantities of P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, and Mn, and the higher rate of N and Zn in relation to the plants being controlled.
