SOME MORE IMPORTANT BIOLOGICAL AND ECONOMIC PROPERTIES OF NEW CULTIVARS AND HYBRIDS OF PLUMS OBTAINED AT THE FRUIT RESEARCH INSTITUTE AT CACAK

Abstract:
During the 1965–1976 period the comparative investigation of some more important biological and economic properties in 5 new plum cvs and 10 selections, obtained at the Fruit Research Institute at Cacak, were carried out. On the basis of these investigations it can be stated that new plum cvs significantly surpass the already established world cvs, and especially in respect of bearing, fruit size and quality, and resistance to more important plum diseases. Because of these properties, the following cvs and selections are recommended for even more intensive and mass industrial production, both in Yugoslavia and in the contries having similar climatic conditions:
