Abstract:
Based on an investigation carried out in the years from 2001 to 2003 with the plum cultivar 'Čačanská Lepotica' planted in moderately heavy alluvial soil, of weak acid reaction (pH-5.9), poor in humus (2.65%), moderately supplied with N (0.13%), moderately supplied with K2¬O (20.4 mg/100 g) and well supplied with P2O5 (15 mg/100 g), it was found that the application of different rates of NPK fertilizers of formula 8:16:24 +3% Mg, positively affected the cropping potential. The highest yield were obtained when 400 kg/ha of fertilizer was used (6.28 kg/tree, i.e. 18,683 kg/ha). Unfertilized plots had the lowest yield (4.61 kg/tree, 13,677 kg/ha). The medium planting distance (4 x 0.85 m) had the highest yield. The fruit size increased with increasing amount of fertilizing, and with lower planting density.
