Abstract:
Ten seedling rootstock cultivars for apricot were obtained.
In the experiment were five Prunus armeniaca rootstocks: ‘Tengeribarack C.1301’, ‘Tengeribarack C.1650’, ‘Tengeribarack C.1652’, ‘Tengeribarack C.1426’ and ‘Tengeribarack C.2546’; and four Prunus cerasifera var. 'cerasifera' cv. myrobalana rootstocks: ‘C.162/a mirobalán’, ‘C.174 mirobalán’, ‘C.359 mirobalán’ and ‘C.679 mirobalán’, and one Prunus insititia rootstock: ‘C.83’. All of them are seedling rootstocks.
These rootstocks produce mostly intermediate to strong scion growth.
Their effects on graft are similar.
The broad genetic scale may contribute to reduction of damage caused by pathogens and unfavourable environmental conditions, such as frost and drought.
